Construction and properties

The municipality of Leppävirta has available properties for both living and entrepreneurial purposes. Most of the construction-related permits are granted by Leppävirta’s regional building supervision.

Available properties

Leppävirta has around 104 house properties on sale. Properties are available in for example Uitukanharju and Ukonniemi (a walking distance away from the municipality’s center), the population centers of Sorsakoski and Oravikoski as well as in Paukarlahti and Timola.

Despite not every one of these being beach properties, the lakeside is rarely far. Ukonniemi’s Lossinpelto in the South of the town center borders the beautiful Unnukka watercourse and is especially riddled with new beach properties.

Building permit

A building permit is required before the erection of any building as well as in a case of fixing or changing that is comparable to erecting or expanding a building and in the case of a substantial change in the use of building.

Building permits can be applied for digitally on Lupapiste.fi, a service available in Finnish and Swedish.

Customers are asked to report any potential leaks and faults to the on-call worker as soon as possible.
This helps assess the disruption and enables repair and maintenance work to be started at an early stage and minimizes potential disruptions related to distribution or other operations.

Through the OmaVesi service you can follow your own water usage on a daily, monthly and yearly level, download water meter readings as csv files, and order consumption reports as well as disruption alerts to your email address.
